What Causes Redness And Swelling Around Stitches On The Elbow?
I recently cut my elbow and had to get stitches about 7-8 days ago. The first few days everything seemed pretty normal until about a day or 2 ago. My stitches are VERY tight and are cutting into my skin and causing some redness and mild swelling. Is this something to be concerned about or is this common?

It could be local inflammation.
As a first line management you can apply topical antibiotics like mupirocin for symptomatic relief.
If there is signs of infection, you can consult a general surgeon and start on antibiotics.
