What Causes Redness And Itching On The Hand After Taking Bactrim DS?

I started Bactrim DS BID 2 days ago for a UTI. I have taken it many times before. I am 69 years old and on no medications routinely. On day 2 I had red itchy place on a finger and this morning I have a larger red itchy place on my hand. What should I do?

HI
Well come to HCM
Your concern is appreciated, two thing I would like to advise you here as long as the Bactrim DS is concern and Urinary tract infection is concern, first Urinary tract need to be very much confirmed with culture and sensitivity test, then and then it need to be treated, now for the Bactrim it may cause the sensitivity reaction and it is very well known phenomenon and it could be the cause for the symptoms you have, better to stop this now, hope this information helps.
