What Causes Redness And Itching On The Crease Of The Leg?

Undernealth scrotum on right side stemming from the crease of upper thigh has been itching a bit the past few days. After showering tonight the itching intensified so I checked the spot & there was red discoloration making the skin look almost raw in the area? Could this be a form of jock itch?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of redness and itching on the crease of the leg. Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to many reasons like allergic reaction, folliculitis, systemic conditions and poor hygiene. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may order blood test , allergy test and skin patch test to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe immunosuppressants and corticosteroid ointment along with antibacterial or antiviral depending upon the diagnosis . For now avoid playing and take benadryl twice .
