What Causes Redness And Abdominal Swelling Post Abdominoplasty?

My wife is 33 years old, 9 weeks post op after a tummy tuck. Her side busted open on its on. 2 weeks after she had an infection inside. She has had 2 emergency surgeries to drain fluid. After the last surgery a drain tube was put in her pubic area. It was removed yesterday and now it looks as if she has cellulitis again. Her stomach is swollen, hard, red and hot. Where the drain tube was is, that area is about 3 times the size it was. Her PS just keeps monitoring her and gave her a 3 day antibiotic and now a Z pac. She doesn t seem to be getting better. I don t understand why she keeps getting worse. I wonder if the tools used during surgery where clean? Any suggestions?
