What Causes Reddish-orange Stains On Pillow While Sleeping?

I have been getting reddish-orange stains on my pillow lately. It doesn't wash off. I do use hair colour but it doesn't look the same colour and it looks like something has leaked or splashed onto the pillow-case. I do go swimming so I wondered if it could be coming from my ears but why should it be this colour? Is it anything to worry about? What can I do?

HI
Well come to HCM
Staining could be due to hair color only possibility of this is very likely second this could be drubbing of saliva during sleep, otherwise this is not the serious condition and no need to worry about this, if you are suspicious for ear discharge then to ruled out this ear examination is must, but this would be very less likely because you do not have any related clinical condition, take care, have a nice day.
