What Causes Red With White Spot Under The Tongue

Hi, i just discovered under my tongue...the sublingual ducts (or submandibular ducts) that the tip of the left duct (where it forms as a papilla) is very red with a white round spot. I wish i could email a picture to show what im talking about. I cant sleep wondering what this is?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain a red and white round spot seems to be an apthous ulcer and can be due to a number of common reasons like trauma with some hard food, deficiency of iron and vitamin B12, stress, excess intake of sour foods, hormonal changes etc..
Many a times it is idiopathic and can occur without any underlying cause..
You should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a proper clinical evaluation can be done to confirm the exact cause and can be treated accordingly..
As of now you can apply a numbing gel containing lignocaine or choline salicylate to relieve pain if present..
You can do warm saline gargles..
Take a multivitamin tablet daily..
Take anti-inflammatory painkiller Ibuprofen..
Avoid hot, spicy and hard foods..
Sucking ice pops and cold water rinses can also help..
Gargle with antimicrobial mouthwash..
