What Causes Red Streaks On The Chest And Neck?

I just noticed red streaks on my chest and neck area. No symptoms with this. they almost look like stretch marks although I have not gained weight. Like creases of reddish striped skin. It s patterned, and on both sides of upper chest. about six rows of stripes and then stops.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.

Are you sure you did not scratch the region or may be another person did so? Some individuals do this while they are asleep and get all worked up once they awaken, so I needed to ask to rule that out.

But other than wright fluctuations and trauma, another possible cause could be cortisol levels, are you on any steroids? If not, then check with your doctor about your cortisol levels.

Best wishes.
