What Causes Red Spots And Tingling On The Nose?

my nose has started to show various signs and I have no idea what s happening. First there are random red spots that appear over night with a circle around them…then my nose will swell within that circle and the swelling never goes down. It s been ongoing for about 3 months now….nose tingles and feels as if someone is faintly touching it…minor pressure and then it s larger. The red dots go away, but the discolored circles remain around the perimeter of the swelling. My nose itches a lot, which it never used to do as well.

Hi Dear ,

As per your query you have red spots and tingling on the nose since three months . Well there can be many reaons for symptoms you mention in query like dirt , oil get trapped in the pores resulting in sensitive bumps , rosacea ,eczema , reaction to an allergen such as rubber or resin and exposure to irritating substances like soap and chemicals . There is alo possibility of sinusitis . I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor will examine physically and order skin test for allergy and blood test for infection along with CT scan . Doctor may prescribe anti bacterial like clindamycin along with anti inflammatory . Doctor may also refer you to ENT specialist in case of sinusitis . Fowr now apply warm compresses to nose , exfoliate once a week and apply azelaic acid cream after washing face and take steam .
