What Causes Red Rashes On The Face Post Tooth Extraction?

Hi, I had 12 upper teeth, 1 lower tooth, and 1 upper impacted wisdom tooth pulled all at the same time three days ago, now i have four spots kind of circular in shape for each spot on my face by my chin and above my lip, all on the exterior of my face and nothing inside my mouth. I know that it is a rash of some kind because it is very itchy and there is somewhat of a burning feeling. What could this reaction be? And how can I get rid of it?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that itchy rashes on face after getting teeth extraction done is not due to extraction process but due to side effects of medications that you are taking post extraction and most commonly it can be due to antibiotics..

I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and he can change the medication and as the effect of medication will wean off the symptoms will subside..

As of now take anti allergics like levocetrizine and do cool compresses over the rashes..
You can also apply steroid cream for relief over the rashes..

Hope this helps..

Regards.
