What Causes Red Pimples On The Arms, Face And On The Forehead?

I have several red bumps with a blood-like hole, (about the size of a pin-head), on the skin surface of my arms, face and sometimes on my head. At first I thought they were related to bed bug bites because we recently have our house bombed to get with of them. I was informed however, that bed bugs possess an anesthetic of sorts and when sucking human blood, it can t be felt. The sores last for several weeks and other than the sunken hole at the top, the bump itself is hard.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi.
As per your case history you are having papular urticaria.
My treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesions as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic plus steroid cream like fusiderm-b cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Thanks.
Dr. Harshit bhachech.
