Hi, I am 19 yrs old. and a few days ago noticed this red area/patch on my left breast. it is warm to touch and changes from a light pink to really red in color every day.. the center of it is a littler darker red thank the rest. It hasn t gone away and isn t getting any smaller. I ve been searching online all day and all i keep seeing is breast cancer (inflammatory) I am going to a dermatologist friday. do you think that is they type of doctor i should be seeing?? also do you have any ideas based on my description??
hello Thanks for the query. A single red patch on breast might be indicative of fungal infection. Cancerous patches usually present in the form of ulceration and bleeding. also a cancer grows very rapidly. Probably it's just a fungal infection. However it is better to meet a dermatologist and get yourself examined. Let me know if you have any other doubts. Thank you.
