What causes red mark on my right calf?

Hello, for more than two weeks I have noticed a red hickey looking mark on my right calf. It has changed in color ranging from dark red to blue to blue black back to dark red but have not changed in size. From that information do you have a slight idea of what it is?

Hi,

A lesion changing colour from red-blue-black indicates a bruise / hematoma. This follows some trauma there, which being minor you might not be remembering. Unless it painful / tender or new lesions appear elsewhere, you need not worry. It will disappear in few days.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
