What Causes Red Eyes And Nose Bleed?

Morning I have had a very slight head ache when I wake up, which doesn't last long but is unusual because I am in fine health. The whites of my eyes are looking red and I had a short nose bleed a few days ago. Are these things related to do think? I am female, overweight and 49? Regards J.

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of red eyes and nose bleed. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like infection , trauma , allergic , sinusitis and nonallergic rhinitis, hypertension and use of blood thinning medications. Need not to worry. Nose bleeding in case of head injury sometimes become a emergency condition if there are symptoms like dizziness , vomiting and neck pain. You should touching or picking nose with any sharp object. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan, MRI and do physical examination . Doctor may refer you to neurologist if he/she finds problem to be related with brain injury or problem related to nose . In case of hypertension , doctor may refer you to cardiologist , who may prescribe betablockers or frusamide.
