What Causes Red Colour Arm After A TB Test?

Hi my boyfriend just recently got out of prison he told me they gave him the tb test and his arm came out with a reddish color he said it got red because he was doing push ups but the prescribed him with an antibiotic and he stopped drinking them what can happen?

I see that you are concerned about your boy friend possibly having a positive skin test for TB. To be a positive test to TB a PPD must be read by a medical provider and noted if the area has swelling. A red color to the skin test does not imply infection. A positive test will show thickening and swelling around the injection site. I recommend that your boy friend have a repeat test done since he is at high risk for TB from living in prison.
