What Causes Red Bruise In Eyes And Headaches After A Eye Injury?

My husband was hit in the eye as a child by a hard boiled egg as joke on Easter. As he is getting older he has occasional pain in that eye. Over the weekend he has what looks like a red bruise on the inside of it and is having headaches. Is this something I should be worried about or is it just like an old injury that will just flair up from time to time?

Welcome at HCM
I have gone through your query and being your physician I completely understand your health concerns.
you should see an eye specialist so that it can be proeprly examined. if it is subconjuctival bleed then you should not worry about it , but do visit the eye specialist.
Meanwhile stay calm and use acetaminophen to relieve pain
Get well soon
Hope your query is adequately addressed if you still have any feel free to ask
