What Causes Red Blotches And Swelling In Ankles And Lower Legs?

after being in very hot, humid weather and at the pool, i started to develop red, swollen ankles and red blotches on lower legs that s hot to touch. it doesn t itch and seems worse in the heat but has been there for about 5 days now. it is still very hot here

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of red blotches and swelling in ankles and lower legs which are due to allergic reaction or body's response to external stimuli which can be a allergen.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to try to figure out what exactly causing red blotches in your case , give cold compresses to affected area to get rid of itching , take benadryl and consult dermatologist for proper diagnosis doctor will take history and prescribe steroid medicines .
