What Causes Red Blister On Finger That Is Bleeding?

I have a small area on my middle finger that is red inside, and I struck it against something, and it started to bleed, and kept on bleeding. I applied pressure, and still bleeding. So, I applied a bandaid, and it is not bleeding now. What could it have been?

Hi,

Welcome to HCM.

Fingertips are supplied by blood vessels called endarteries which drain into small venules. Hence the finger tips bleed for a longer time.

If you suspect that your blood is taking longer time to clot, you can get your blood clotting time tested.

Normal clotting time ranges from 2 to 6 minutes.

Thanks.
