What Causes Red And Itchy Bumps On Body?

Last 3 day been waking up with small itchy red bumps. Also have a skin crawling feeling. I ve looked all over my bed since I thought bedbugs but so far nothing. Sheets look normal along with the mattress. The bumps only show up one at a time and they itch on and off. Sleeping has been stressfull.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

It seems that you may be having lichen urticatus also called papular urticaria. It is considered hypersesitivity to insects bite...like bedbug, flea or mosquito. There may be severely itchy papular eruptions anywhere on body. If you were my patient, I would have advised to apply mild steroid cream and to take steroid tablets in tappering dose with antihistaminics like levocetirizine. I hope this would be helpful to you.

Thanks.
