So about a week ago I had a pimple near my nipple. I popped it and puss came out and everything was fine other than it was a little red for the rest of the day. A couple days later it formed into a pea sized red spot, but it was completely flat. When I pushed down on it, it felt like a little pebble under my skin. I started to think it was a cyst and I checked today and now there is a small pin sized purple/ black dot under my skin where the red mark is. I questioned if it was an ingrown hair but when I push on it and fell it, it still feels like a pebble and my skin in flat on the area. It looks pretty far under my skin. Should I be concerned this is breast cancer? I started the Depo Provera birth control shot around 3 months ago and my boobs have really grown. But the boob with the red spot with the small black spot sags lower and it s about a cup size bigger. Any information will help my concerns..
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The red and black spots on the breast can be simple skin pigmentations and may not be worrisome. In case the spots are increasing in size or are painful then they need to be examined. I hope this information has been helpful for you. Regards, Dr. Praveen Tayal .
