What Causes Recurring White Lump On Gum During Pregnancy?

I'm 11& a half week pregnant(my first baby). & I had this white lump on my upper gym right on top of my right front tooth. when it first appeared I popped it.. White stuff came out & then it started bleeding... And two days later(today) it's back at the same spot.. I'm scared it's going to hurt the baby.. I don't know what to do..

Brief answer: Pregnancy Tumour..

Hi..
I have gone through your question and can understand your concerns..

In pregnancy due to hormonal changes few pregnant ladies experience gum problems like red inflamed and swollen gums and when there is some irritating factor like Plaque deposit on teeth there can be infection and formation of a lump known as Pregnancy Tumour which is not exactly a Tumour but a name is given to such a lump as Tumour..

Mostly the pregnancy tumour disappear itself after the child birth but in case if it interfere with normal activities like eating and closing mouth you can consult a dentist and the dentist can assess the condition and with the consent of you gynaecologist he can either remove the Tumour or if it is not indicated by your Gynaecologist removal of irritating factor like Plaque can be done to reduce the severity of symptoms to some extent..

It is also possible that the Tumour reappear during the further course of pregnancy so in case if it is not causing any pain or discomfort it can be left untreated, as it will not hurt the foetus in your womb..

Just maintain a good Oral hygiene for prevention of complications..

Wishing you all the best for a safe delivery..

Thanks and regards..
