What Causes Recurring Vomiting And Loose Motions?

Hi,

My daughter 2.2 yrs old weighting 11 kg had vomiting with a frequency of 2-3 times in a day and was able to have only fliuds. See was kept on light alnmost fluid diet for two days. On third day vomiting had stopped but when she had loose motion 3 -4 times in a day, out doctor has prescribed oflox 100 rediuse 3 ml twice a day. After 3 doses of same the loose motion has stopped but vomiting has restarted and see just cannot have any food. See is easily able to have fluid and juices through....what should be course of action...there is no fever. Amit S

Thanks for the query.
Repeated Vomiting might be due to gastritis (acidity) caused by oflox.
If i would be the treating doctor i would have gone for syp. Ondensetron and syp. Ranitidine Half hour before food.
