General & Family Physician 's  Response
Many factors predispose to repeated infection such as diabetes, chronic steroid use, chronic illnesses such as chronic renal failure, nutritional deficiency etc. Most of the time, infection is caused by mixed flora of organisms.
Advice
1.     Azithromycin 500 mg daily per oral for 3 days
2.     Fluconazole 150 mg weekly per oral for 4 weeks – total 4 doses
3.     Metronidazole 500 mg orally twice daily for seven days
4.     Apply K – Y lubricating jelly before sex
5.     Consider switching positions, as this can sometimes help to alleviate the pain either partner is feeling
6.     Do not rush sex, as the longer that foreplay lasts, the more arousal, hence lubrication, will occur naturally
7.     Investigation
d.      Blood sugar (F & PP)
e.     Vaginal smear examination including Gram’s staining

Thanks
