Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hi for about a year, my eye started to twitch , after that my whole face following with my mouth. its very noticeable and very disturbing. iv been to a eye specialist that has ruled out any thing to do with the eye. I do have an appointment with a neurologist in feb. is there anything you may share with me?
I would suggest you to first of all consult your treating physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis. You will be advised to get investigations done like MRI, CT scan, nerve conduction studies, electromyogram, etc., to rule out the exact cause of the problem and treat you accordingly. You can be advised to take multivitamins along with calcium and potassium supplements. You can do warm compresses over the lips. You can also do breathing exercises along with meditation to keep stress minimal.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Honey Arora
