What Causes Recurring Pain And Tightness In Tendons In Leg Post An Injury?
I ve been having severe pains and tendon tightness that come on without no reason. Sometimes in the middle of the night I wake up and my leg is in severe pain and almost locked up kind of like Growing Pains except I m 33. I was shot over a year ago in my upper thigh and the bullet went straight through. The pain started a month ago and was only at night when I was asleep and now it happens randomly during the day as well. When the pain happens all the muscles and tendons behind my leg are very tight and the pain is very sharp and painful
Very likely you have sciatica causing you pain and muscle tightness in the back of your leg.
You will need to use Ibuprofen 600 mg every 6 hours after food, try to keep active, avoid bending your back (use your knees instead) and having some exercises for low back pain is advisable (a physiotherapist may as well help you with this)
I hope I have answered your query and have been helpful to you.
I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj General and Family Physician
