What Causes Recurring Nosebleeds With A Bump In Nostrils?
Hi, my three year old has really bad nose bleeds where it pours out of both nostrils and her mouth and all it takes is a small hit to her nose and it starts, I recently discovered in one of her nostrils a large round smooth bump in there but not in the other nostril, any idea of what that could be?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of recurring nosebleeds with a bump in nostrils. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like infection , trauma, allergic and nonallergic rhinitis , hypertension, use of blood thinning medications and alcohol abuse. It could be due to nasal polyp as well. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis. Doctor may check vitals, may order ECG, TMT and complete blood profile. For now take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain and take steam thrice a day. You should maintain hygiene and do nasal saline rinses. Avoid touching or pricking nose with any sharp object.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
