What Causes Recurring UTI?

Approximately 1 week ago I suffer a UTI. On Friday night I experienced some of the symptoms again, but they disappeared (4 days after I finished my antibiotics). On Saturday night I had penetrative sex for the first time and bled somewhat significantly (It wouldn t have soaked through a tampon nor did it last long as heavy bleeding.) Now two days later, I m still spotting though the blood seems old. And this evening I began experiencing UTI symptoms once again. My home test came back negative for nitrites, but positive for leukocytes. Is the bleeding normal? What about the UTI symptoms? Are the two correlated? As a lesbian who has only ever had one sexual partner, I feel that the likelihood of an STD is very low.
