What Causes Recurring E Coli Infection In Vagina?

I tend to get ecoli bacteria in my vagina a few times a year. Dr. Prescribes nitrofurantion and it goes away. Is there anything I can get over the counter or douche with to mitigate bacteria infection instead of having to use antibiotics? Yes I m clean and hygienic.

Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

You are having frequent UTI ....

So for that first rule out diabetis as it can lead frequent UTI ......
So control diabetic with medication if it is present ....

Second frequent intercourse can lead UTI...
So after intercourse take shower and make genital area clean....
Drink lots of water.....

Try to avoid delaying urination when feels it ...healthy and balanced diet with more fruits Taken....

USG abdomen done to rule out if any significant pathology present ....
Avoid excess spicy food ...

You can consul nephrologists for proper examination...

If needed urine culture done for culture and sensitivity...

Take care ....
