What Causes Recurrent Stiffness And Cramps In Fingers?

Today for the second time ever the thumb on my left hand stiffened up and pulled all the way over by pinkie. Did it three times in about 20 minutes. Than all of a sudden the pinkie and next finger cramped up and all fingers cot very stiff and liked doubled my Han in two palm to Palm. Now my hands hurt and relaxed a little but hurts still feel stiff and hurts up both arms and wrist hurt when I bend them...wasnt doing anything except stirring dinner and when it was the hole hand I was sitting down

HI

There are two possibilities here--

One would be tendonitis of the flexor tendons of the hand.

The other would be carpal tunnel syndrome

You need to have this evaluated with an MRI or the hand and nerve conduction studies
