Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
yes my 8 month old daughter seems to be spitting up puking a lot since she was 6 months. I mentioned it the doctor around 6 month but she had a small cold and they said just watch it. but now she seems to still be doing it not every time she nurses but quite frequently now and I am not sure if I should contact the doctor again. She seems fine afterwards she doesn t seem upset really or hungry. I try to keep her up right while nursing, burping her, pumping first since I make a lot of milk but she still does it some times.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Expressing out fore milk reduces water content of breast milk this may cause difficult digestion of milk & puking. Avoid expressing milk before feed & use feeding by the breast baby had left during last feed. The baby has less digestion. Try giving Digestive enzyme drops over then counter (like Neopeptine drops) &mostly she would be fine. Consult her doctor in case of no relief.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
