I have an itchy rash on the palm of my hand and thumb. It presented this time last year too, After trying every kind of over the counter cream and a visit to my doctor and steroids, nothing worked. Finally after about 10 weeks it went away. It didn t come back until now, a year later. It is only on my right hand and it itches terribly. I don t want to go back to my doctor again for him to say he doesn t know what it is.
Hello, You need to look carefully at products that you are using or products that you are exposed to, perhaps only on the right hand. Some people are allergic to things like nickel which is what many jewelry items like belt buckles are made of. It could also be a soap or product that your right hand is just more sensitive to. You may have a type of eczema on that hand. If your doctor cannot figure it out and you cannot fine the problem you may need to see a dermatologist for testing. Regards
