Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Recurrent Episodes Of Atrial Fibrillation?
I have had 6 episodes of AF since December 2016 (one a month) and am on 7.5mg of Bisoprolol once a day in the morning and 20mg of Rivaroxaban in the evening. I do not have coffee, chocolate or wine. I was diagnosed this time last year. Any idea why I am having so many episodes? Could it be food related? I am scheduled to have a stress test on 8 June so perhaps need to wait until after then but would be interested in your thoughts as to possible reasons. I work full-time as a Director of a charity, Smile International in the U.K. Thanks for your time.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Varinder's Response
Hi,
If you are not having alcohol or coffee, then it is ok. As you are already taking Bisoprolol, there is no need to take any additional drug. Now you are going for stressechocardiography, it is a good thing.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Varinder Joshi,
General & Family Physician
