What Causes Recurrence Of Seizures?
Sir, My mother aged 74, up to the age of 50, she was faced seizure ,she took the tablet Eptoin, after the age of 50, seizur almost stoped. Gradualy medicine also stoped, but after 21 years now it is repeat. From 2009 during december,january it is triggered(once in year).Now we consult Neurologist,the Dr. prescribed Encorate chrono 300 morning and night,Becosilus,Diamox250 morning only,Bidenzen forte night only.Sir,past 21years she is good helth with active in agriculture works, why now it was repeat

there can be many reasons for seizure onset and its recurrence.
The seizures can be provoked by any metabolic derangement like- high fever, hyponatremia, hypocalcemia, some medicines which lower seizure threshold etc. Also many times there is no direct cause found.
I advice you to get MRI Brain, EEG, serum electrolytes to be checked and need to starte antiepileptic medicines.
