What Causes Recurrence Of Migraine After Discontinuation Of Aspirin?
I am on an elimination diet, where aspirin should not be taken.I have taken 80mg a day for at least 6 years,.this has stopped migraine.Within a few days they are back with a vengeance,I checked with the Doc..she says ..up to you! I have gone back to taking 80mg because the every day misery of dreadful headaches..swill this harm me in any way?or should I persevere, only have 1more week to go
hello, i can understand your concern. i would like to know your age. do you have any history of peptic ulcers or bleeding?? 80mg a day is not a very high dose. the most common side effects with aspirin usage are abdominal pain, gastric bleeding, peptic ulcers, nausea, some renal damage. in fact low dose aspirin has benefits of reducing the risk of myocardial infarction. i would suggest if you donot have any issues with gastric bleeding or ulcers and the kidney function is intact you can continue taking aspirin as you have been taking. in case of presence of any these, caution has to be exercised. hope i have answered your queries. thanks for choosing HCM.
