What Causes Rectal Bleeding?
I am 72 years old.This morning when I got up to urinate, there was a lot of blood in the toilet. It was coming from my rectum. There was also tissue with the blood. It stopped bleeding after a few minutes. Is this an emergency or can I wait until Monday to get a doctor s appointment? I had breast cancer in 2015. Mastectomy but no radiation or chemo, only a hormone blocker for 5 years. Any idea what this could be?

You can wait till Monday.
But,you should be investigated .Colonoscopy should be done to confirm the diagnosis. It could be due to simple haemorrhoids too.
It has no relation to Breast cancer.
