What Causes Rectal Bleeding With Diarrhea And Right Abdominal Pain?

My husband has been having blood come out when he defecates, not every day, That has been for about 3-4 months, the blood is bright red and is in the bowl not the stool itself . He has had diarrhea for the last 3 days. Right lower abdomen pain, fatigue, some weight loss because he does not feel like eating, and the feeling of coldness and that he cannot get warm.
