What Causes Rectal Bleeding After Colonoscopy?

My husband is 55 yrs old, had a colonoscopy in March was clear, since July has had rectal bleeding bright red, change in bowels movements, gas bloating, belching stomach cramps ER visit showed colitis refered to GI stool culture done for CDiff, parasites etc all negative ! No relief with bentyl pe pcid etc any idea what his symptoms could represent ?.

You should repeat colonoscopy since there is no other method to detect the site of bleeding. There may be polyp or broken vessel which can be also treated colonoscopically. If nothing is found then clotting disorders should be evaluated.
