Hello,

Alcohol may cause rectal bleed through:

1. Alcoholic gastritis with active ulcer bleeding.
2. Alcoholic hepatitis with liver failure lead to decreased clotting factors may cause bleeding.
3. Alcoholic liver disease with hemorrhoids with bleeding.
4. Alcohol may induce pancreatitis with clotting and rental abnormalities.
5. Please avoid alcohol and spicy food, and eat high fiber diet.
6. Use syrup Lactulose at night.

If symptoms not improved, please consult your doctor, he/she will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
