What Causes Raspy Sound While Breathing?
hello, i had a cold that lasted for two weeks, the cold is now gone but i continue to cough and gag on the phlegm. it tastes horrible. i also hear a raspy sound when i breathe which triggers me to cough....is this normal? i am 5 9 175lbs, i have had a blood transfusion due to severe anemia and also a hernia repair. i also have night sweats but at least once every other week.

I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the inflammation.
I also suggest using a mucolytic to relieve the cough such as Mucinex.
