What Causes Raspy Breathing In An Infant?

Hi, My baby s breathing is very raspy. She is a one year old (but born at 28.5 weeks. She has been receiving the RSV shots (3 total). I have a warm steam (humidifier) with eucalyptus drops and have spread vicks on chest and covered feet. I also put her in the steam bathroom. Anything else I can do? What else should I look for in her disposition?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hello,

I just read through your question.

You are doing everything right. As long as the baby is feeding reasonably well and does not have a fever, there is nothing left to do other then give some more time for healing.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Eric Goldstein, Pediatrician
