What Causes Rashes On The Hands After Taking Bayer Aspirin?

I started taking low dose Bayer Aspirin at the request of my cardiologist. I started one a day on Sunday. It is now Tuesday. Yesterday I developed a rash on both my hands like I have in the past taking pencillin and a Bioxin and Augmentin. Could this be caused by Bayer aspirin?? The only other thing I have started is Mobic. on 11/18 15 mg per day YYYY@YYYY

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think this is an allergic reaction to mobic. Aspirin can cause an allergic reaction but probably you have taken it before so the main possible cause is mobic.

You can take antihistamines such Benadryl or cetirizine for itching and rush. Also, you can use prednisone injections.

Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
