What Causes Rashes On The Forearms?

I HAVE HAD A RASH THAT BROKE OUT ON JUST MY FOREARMS ABOUT 4 DAYS AGO. ANY IDEA WHAT WOULD CAUSE A RASH IN A DESIGNATED AREA LIKE THE ARMS? IT IS A RAISED, RED RASH OF SMALL PIN DOT SIZED BUMPS (KIND OF LIKE GOOSE BUMPS) THAT DON T ITCH BUT COVER THE UNDER SIDE OF MY ARMS FROM THE WRIST TO THE ELBOW. IT IS NOW BEGINNING TO DISSIPATE BUT NOT SURE IF IT S A REACTION TO MEDICATION OR RESIDUAL EFFECT FROM ANESTHESIA FOLLOWING DAY SURGERY A WEEK AGO.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of rashes on the forearms which occurs due to infection of hair follicles leading to folliculitis. It could be due to contact dermatitis and allergic reaction of body. Sometimes rashes occur due to season change. I would suggest you to get hormone levels monitored. Make use of product containing benzoyl peroxide. Take Multivitamin supplements. Apply topical antibacterial ointment such as mupirocin and do yoga and meditation daily. Drink plenty of water daily and add fresh fruits and vegetables to your diet. Apply Adapalene gel once at night and cover the skin so that UV radiation can not damage it. Also wash your skin with mild soap and cold water twice a day , exfoliate your face once a week , apply aloe vera gel and apply azelaic acid containing cream twice a day.If condition doesn't start getting better in a month then consult dermatologist.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Get Well Soon.

Best Wishes,
