Hi, i had developed some face rash.. my doctor gave me xyzal. What is it used for.. also today I got throat choke which happens frequently because of allergy to few foods that I have.. I usually take Allegra 180 in that case. So can I take Allegra now also, asking because I am already taking one medicine.

Hi.
As per your case history of face rash, my treatment advice is -
1. Xyzal contains levocetrizine which an anti allergic medication. Allegra contains fexofenadine which is also an anti allergic medication.
2. Sometimes 2 anti allergic medication may be required. So it is advisable to continue both of them as advised.
3. As far as face rash is concerned, apply a soothing lotion like calamine lotion on affected region twice daily.

If problem persists then consult a dermatologist.

Thanks.
