What Causes Rashes On The Extremities?

I have been suffering from a rash located mostly on my extremeties. None of my doctors have been able to find the cause. I m looking at the drugs I am on to see if they might be the reason. I take the following medications: finasteride, Synthroid, gabapentin, celexa Advair, Protonix and Flonase. Are any likely to be the cause of my rash? I find the rash is more pronounced when the weather is hot and I am wearing short sleeves.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Gabapentin may cause drug allergy and others rarely cause a reaction.

You can consult a dermatologist and plan for a patch test or allergy test.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
