What Causes Rapid Pulse Rate Inspite Of Ablation?

My husband has had numerous treatment and procedures of the heart and renal system, ie ablations, cardio versions, stents(6) plus one in his cartroid, the other opened and surgerically cleaned and the procedure called the Maze . He has undergone another ablation(yesterday) for a fast pulse and flutter. Problem, he still has a fast pulse. Question--- What else is there?

Hi welcome to HCM.
Elevated pulse post ablation is a common scenario that would settle in the due course of time.Cardioselective beta blockers will help to reduce the heart rate to desired levels.Calcium channel blockers also have similar mode of action.Electrophysiological study will help to find out any accessory operating pathway.I advise you to have a baseline 2 dimensional echo to assess any organic heart pathology.Consult your cardiologist for further queries.
Thank you.
