Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had this weird fast heartbeat that has been happening for months off and on. I know I have anxiety really bad but whenever this particular issue happens I am very calm and havent done any kind of exercising. My heart will start to beat so fast and hard that I will start to become faint and it ends up going away after 2-3 minutes. I have no history of any heart problems but I do have severe scoliosis for which ive had two surgeries but i dont think this has anything to do with that. I am just wondering if maybe im low in iron? I keep reading that might be one of the reasons but please let me know if thats correct and anything else you might be able to conclude about my situation. Thank you
Since you have a history of having surgery for scoliosis twice, you are recommended to go for a follow-up examination in the ER, get all investigations done to rule out any complication of Scoliosis & cardiac problems. Get evaluated, if your chest is not in proper shape (deformed), you may experience breathing problems, fatigue or developing heart problems (palpitations).
Anemia is a condition, when the body does not receive the amount of oxygen that it needs, thus causing symptoms like difficulty in breathing & chest pain or discomfort. Take iron & calcium supplements, eat green leafy veggies & home made food. Take a healthy, balanced diet.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Nupur K,
