What Causes Raised Arteries Near The Temples?

Hello, I noticed two arteries that showed up on my left temple this morning. They run down the side of my temple. one stops at the ear the other stops lower down on my cheek. They are raised up and visibly pronounced. I have never seen them before..i am also dealing with a head cold at the moment. Should I be concerned about these arteries showing up?

Thanks for posting to hcm,
I think the venous prominences which you are mentioning can be accumulation of interstitial fluid or can be a vasculitis if you are experiencing pain over there. Be clear with symptoms. You need to take diuretics to decrease that swelling.
