What Causes Racing Of The Heart With Dizziness?

I was eating dinner, salmon to be exact, and while eating it my heart began to race and I felt dizzy and shakey. I havent been sick and it came on all the sudden. Does this have something to do with the salmon or something completely different

Hi,

Allergy to cooked salmon (finfish) fish is a possibility. Usually, such kind of reaction is associated with skin rash/urticarias & itching etc. Alternatively, it could be due to paroxysmal supra-ventricular tachycardia (tachycardia may last for a few seconds or minutes i.e. self-terminate) and consequent hypotension. 12 lead ECG with rhythm strip (long lead II) for 1 minute may throw some light.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
