What Causes Pus And Blood Filled Lumps On Face And Body?
Hi over the past year I have developed pus filled spots that appear randomly all over my face and body. When they pop a either a hard yellow lump or soft pus comes out with lots of blood. I have never had skin problems and was a fit and healthy person untill four month ago when I suffered a bleed on the spine paralyzing me. I don't know if these things could be connected. Many thanks for your help
I feel sorry for the difficult times that you are going through.
I would keep a possibility of recurrent furunculosis.
If i was your treating doctor i would have advised a week of oral antibiotic (penicillin group) to help resolve the infection
An OTC antibacterial like 2% mupirocin twice daily would help in faster resolution. It is advisable to apply the ointment in the nasal vestibule as well for 5 days to eradicate carrier state.
A pus culture sensitivity from one of the lesions would help guide future antibiotic therapy, if required.
Since you are suffering from recurrent bacterial infection therefore i would also have liked to do a blood sugar test in you.
take care regards
