What Causes Pus/RBC/epithelial Cells In Urine With History Of Cancer?

My urinalysis shows that i have 13-15 pus cells, 2-4 red blood cells, epithelial cells few, mucus threads few and bacteria many. I have a history of cancer, cancer of the colon 2004 and cancer of the ovary 2011. Is there chances of having another cancer? Is the result of the urine test alarming? I am worried. Thanks.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to a urinary tract infection.

The presence of pus in urine confirms the diagnosis.

I suggest using a cycle of antibiotics such as Ciprofloxacin.

I also recommend using anti-inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
