Hi! Good evening. I am Dr Shareef answering your query. Usually oral cavity infections are caused by mixed infective organisms, and so if I were your doctor, I would advise you with a broad spectrum antibiotic along with an antibiotic against anaerobic organism. I would also add a proton pump inhibitor along with a probiotic and an anti inflammatory agent to be taken after food. An antiseptic gargle would be worth using for this condition.

I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts.

Thanks for choosing health care magic to clear doubts on your health problems. I wish you an early recovery. Dr Shareef.
